What is a "Trespass Enforcement Authorization"?
TRESPASS ENFORCEMENT AUTHORIZATION ALLOWS THE LAWTON POLICE DEPARTMENT TO ACT AS AGENT UNDER LAWTON CITY CODE SECTION 16-3-1-316 TRESPASSING PROHIBITED
A. It is unlawful and an offense for any person to commit a trespass within this city upon either public or private property.
B. Any of the following acts by any person shall be deemed a violation of this section:
1. The doing of an injury or misfeasance to the person of another;
2. The doing of any injury or misfeasance to the property of another when done with force and violence, either actual or implied;
3. Each and every actual entry or remaining upon the premises of another owner or person in possession of real property, whether the property is public or private, without the owner's or occupant's consent, express or implied;
4. An entry or remaining upon the premises, or any part thereof, of another in violation of a notice exhibited thereon prohibiting entry at specified times;
5. An entry or remaining upon the premises, or any part thereof, of another in violation of any notice, warning or protest given orally or in writing by any owner or other lawful occupant thereof

How to submit a Trespass Enforcement Authorization:

Property Owner/ Property Manager will need to fill out the authorization form below either online or by downloading the PDF.

Submit the form online, with required documentation verifying ownership of the property (Water Bill, Property Tax Bill, Deed).

If you are utilizing the PDF version, fill out and bring the completed form, and required documentation, to the Lawton Police Department located at 100 SW Railroad St, Lawton, OK 73501.

The Police Department will verify the address and process the authorization letter.
*Please note: This authorization form will be in effect for one year upon date of submittal.
