LAKE LAWTONKA

Lake Lawtonka lies at the foot of Mount Scott, and borders the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. It covers about 2,398 acres and has a shoreline of about 21 miles. The lake was created by damming Medicine Creek in the early 1900s to provide water to the City of Lawton. Today, it serves as a primary water supply source for the area & supports recreational activities.

RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES:

Boating and Water Sports: The lake is popular for boating, water skiing, wakeboarding, and other water-based activities. It has multiple boat ramps and marinas for easy access.
