What Its All About
Purpose

Topics covered during the academy will include: police patrol, traffic enforcement, narcotics, crime prevention, firearms, use of force, officer safety, crime scene investigation, police canine, criminal investigation, Lake Patrol, Tactical Team, Bike Patrol, Dive Team the Sentinel program, and much more. There will be lectures, videos, tours, and hands-on training. Each student will be encouraged to participate in a ride-along with a police officer.

Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association
Who We Are
The Lawton Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association is comprised of CPA graduates who are committed to the mission of the CPA and its focus on being a valuable partner with the Lawton Police Department by creating better police-community relations through awareness and training.
The goal is to get the Lawton-Fort Sill community to take a more active role in working with the police to combat crime in the city's neighborhoods and understand the challenges that our officers face on a daily basis.
What We Do
We offer volunteer support services to the Lawton Police Department which allows police officers to have a one-on-one working relationship with the citizens of Lawton. CPA members volunteer their services at police community events and also hold fundraisers during the year for items the police department needs, but the City of Lawton does not currently provide.
