2024 National Service Day - City of Lawton Trash Off

AmeriCorps Senior Volunteers to spend time cleaning up our beautiful City on April 6, 2024, from 8 AM to 12 PM. Sign-up Sheet to meet at Mattie Beal Park and Union Park for RSVP Volunteers. Call the RSVP Office at (580) 581-3408 Ext. 1839 or email tara.johnson@lawtonok.gov to sign-up and give your T-Shirt size. Volunteers receive bags, gloves, and needed items for litter cleanup, a free t-shirt, and free lunch.

2024 MLK Day Service Act -Valentines for Drivers

AmeriCorps Senior Volunteers to gather valentine’s cards, candy, and teddy bears/bunnies to deliver to Mobile Meals delivery driver’s and meal prep volunteers; who help make Mobile Meals successful and aide seniors in the local community who are considered “shut ins” and are unable to obtain nutritious well balanced meals on a regular basis without program assistance.

2024 September 11th Service Act -To Be Determined

Though 9/11 is nationally recognized as a day of doing good and honoring the spirit of unity that arose in America after September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the AmeriCorps Senior Program will be doing good for entire month. The 2024 beneficiary is the City of Lawton Fire Stations. Non-Perishable Breakfast Items will be donated to the fire stations. We will be thanking them for all their emergency management, response, service and dedication to fire safety, fire rescue, and fire prevention.
