High Grass and Weeds

High Grass/Weeds (15-2-201.A) Weeds or grass more than 12 inches high is a violation of the City Code. Failure to maintain property below this standard may result in a court citation and/or a bill for the City's abatement services.

Junk and debris (15-2-201.A). This is the accumulation of trash on properties within city limits. Examples of junk and debris (not all inclusive) are discarded garbage, paper, cardboard, wood, glass, bedding, auto parts, appliances, limbs, parts of lawn equipment, inoperable bicycles etc.).

Easements.  (15-2-201.A) Weeds or grass more than 12 inches high in your easement is a violation of the City Code. Failure to maintain property below this standard may result in a court citation and/or a bill for the City's abatement services.  Property owners (or tenants responsible for property) are responsible for 1/2 the distance between their fence and the property behind them. This means if the easement between your street and the one behind you is 20 feet, you are responsible for 10 feet of it.
