What is Summer @ the Library?

Libraries nationwide offer Summer Reading Programs (SRP) aka Summer @ the Library every summer with the goal of reducing the “Summer Slide”, the tendency for students to lose some of the learning they achieved throughout the school year. Our goal is to get kids, teens, & adults reading all summer long. During the SRP, the Library offers fun, fantastic, & FREE events all summer long for all ages!

2024 Kid Summer @ the Library

The kid program is for babies – 6th grade*.
Register anytime from June 1 –July 31.
Register at lawtonok.beanstack.org or download the Beanstack app in your iTunes or Google Play store.
Be honest about the books you read.
Books you read or books that are read to you count (including books on CD).
No prizes will be given the first week.
You can only complete one program, one time (kid, teen, or adult).
Complete 5 books during summer and receive a prize bag, 1 free book & 1 entry into a drawing. (June 1 - July 31)
Feeling eager? Receive additional entries into the drawing for every 5 books you read (up to 25 books) and by completing activities.

Feeling eager? Receive additional entries into the drawing for writing book reviews and completing activities.
