The Family and Local History Room houses the premier genealogical and local history collection in Oklahoma.

  • There is a full-time qualified genealogy librarian.
  •  The collection consists of over 28,000 book and 6,00 rolls of microfilm.
  • Notable collections include: American Revolutionary War Collection; Civil War Collection; Federal Census Indexes; Mayflower Collection; Oklahoma and Local History Collection; Immigration Collection; Lawton City Directories; Native American Collection focusing on the Kiowa, Comanche, and Apache Tribes; Newspaper Collection; Royal Genealogy Collection; yearbooks from city schools.
